One of our favorite recipes is this one for Air Fryer burritos! Normally, we make it in the oven, but we have tried to use the Air Fryer this time. It turned out just as delicious.

We stuffed some wraps with ground beef, corn, courgette and paprika, with a crunchy layer of cheese on top. But it is very easy to make this a vegetarian recipe, by switching the beef and cheese to vegan options.

If you are a small eater, change the amount of wraps to 2 instead of 3 per person.

Enjoy!

Wraps with ground beef (vegan option), corn, courgette, paprika, cheese and burrito sauce.

Prep Time 15 minutes
Cook Time 10 minutes
Additional Time 4 minutes
Total Time 29 minutes

Ingredients

  • 6 wraps
  • 300 g ground beef (vegan is also yummy)
  • 100 g of canned corn
  • 2 medium-sized onions
  • 1 paprika
  • ½ courgette
  • Mexican spices (see notes)
  • Burrito sauce
  • 150 g of grated cheese
  • 100 ml water

Requirements

  • Air Fryer
  • Pan
  • Baking paper

Instructions

  1. Start off by chopping the vegetables in cubes and set the pan on the stove.
  2. Grill the beef shortly before adding the vegetables. Cook together for about 5 minutes.
  3. Add the mexican spices and 100 ml of water to the pan. Heat together for a minute or so.
  4. Fold a piece of baking paper into your Air Fryer for the next step (only place it on the bottom, not on the sides of your basket).
  5. Now it is time to fill up the wraps. Wrap and place them in the Air Fryer with the folding seam facing down.
  6. When the Air Fryer basket is filled with the wraps, add the burrito sauce on top of the wraps. You can be generous here.
  7. As the finishing touch, add the grated cheese on top of the sauce. Use as much as you prefer.
  8. Set the timer to 10 minutes at 160 ℃. Depending on your preference for crunchiness, you can set an additional timer at 4 minutes at 180 ℃ after that.
  9. Bon appetit!

Notes

  • Use baking paper so your Air Fryer burritos won’t stick to your basket.
  • For homemade mexican spices, you can mix the following: 1 ts onion powder, 1 ts garlic powder, 1 ts salt, 2 ts cuminr, 1 ts chilipeper, 3 ts paprika.
