Everybody loves a good burger, right? Let us introduce you to the first burger ever to be 100% prepared in an Air Fryer. It is so tasty and vegetarian friendly, you will blow people’s minds!
Paul had this creative idea to use pie crust. It gives our burger a bit of a bite and keeps all the ingredients together (remember eating a regular burger on a soft bun and all the hot insides falling onto your hands as soon as you take a bite). Also, it looks super cool.
Are you ready to try the Air Fryer burger? Let’s do it!

Ingredients
- 4 sheets savory pie dough
- 2 burgers, vegetarian or otherwise
- 1 tomato, sliced
- 1 onions, half moons
- Sliced pickles
- 2 slices cheddar cheese
- Burger sauce
Requirements
- Air Fryer
- Baking paper
Instructions
- (Take out the frozen sheets of pie dough 10 minutes in advance)
- Start off by cutting 2 savory pie dough sheets into 7-8 small slices.
- Place a slice of cheddar per burger on top of a pie dough sheet. Followed by the sauce, a few pickle slices, onions and 1-2 slices of tomato.
- Place the burger on top.
- Add some more sauce, onions and tomato.
- Now it is time to use the slices of pie dough to ‘close’ the burgers. Cover the burger with the individual slices (7-8 per burger). Place the slices criss-cross from side to side and fold the bottom sheet around the burger so the burger is ‘closed’.
- Put the burgers in the Air Fryer for 10 minutes at 180 ℃.
- Mmmm, om-nom-nom!
Notes
- Add a nice salad and some potatoes on the side for a complete dish.
- You can replace the burger sauce with a squirt of ketchup and mustard.
- Put the pie dough sheet that serves as the bottom of the burger on top of the baking paper before you start so you can conveniently and easily place the burger in the Air Fryer basket.
- Even in the smallest Air Fryers, two burgers should be able to fit together in the basket. If it doesn’t, just prepare one at a time and cut them in half.
