Ingredients
- 3 eggs
- 125 g herb cream cheese
- 5 sheets of savory pie dough
- 1 tbsp breadcrumbs
- 200 g smoked salmon slices, finely cut
- 250 g spinach, fresh or frozen
- 125 g cherry tomatoes, sliced in quarters
- 2 red onions, cut in half moons
Requirements
- Air Fryer
- Cooking pan
- Bowl
- Quiche baking tin (16 cm for small Air Fryers, 18-20 cm for medium to large Air Fryers)
Instructions
- Take out the frozen sheets of pie dough 10 minutes in advance.
- Heat some oil in the pan and add the half moon onions. Cook for about 3-5 minutes.
- Meanwhile you can cover the baking tin with the pie dough sheets. Make sure that the baking tin is greased before you add the dough. Add the breadcrumbs on top and spread evenly across the bottom.
- Add the spinach leaves to the onions in the pan. Cook until the spinach is defrosted (if using frozen leaves) or until the spinach leaves are wilted and bright green. Take the pan from the heat.
- Mix the eggs with the herb cream cheese in the small bowl together until you get a smooth mixture. Add the smoked salmon pieces and stir gently to spread evenly.
- Fill the baking tin with the spinach-onion mixture, then the cherry tomatoes and, finally the eggs-salmon mix. Use a spoon to mix the whole very gently. Make sure not to rough up the pie dough on the sides while stirring.
- Put the entire thing in the Air Fryer for 30 minutes at 140 ℃ / 280 ℉. Afterwards, set the timer for another 10 minutes at 180 ℃ / 360 ℉.
- Let it cool down for 5-10 minutes before serving.
- Mmmm, eggcellent!
Notes
- Make sure the dough smoothly covers the entire baking tin and that all potential gaps are filled.
- After 20 minutes, you can add some grated cheese on top, which adds a tasty finishing touch.
